Lions Club of Beacon Falls presented an appreciation/recognition plaque and $1,000 donation check to Beacon Hose Co. No. 1 on Feb 2, 2026. The plaque and check were presented to honor all who participated in the heroic rescue of 19 people and a dog from floodwaters at the Brookside Inn Restaurant and a nearby home on August 18, 2024. The check was in the memory of deceased Lion and BHC#1 member Ed Siemenski. The Siemenski family attended the presentation.
